Long before Giraffe Inc. even opened it's doors nearly 20 years ago, Jack
Felix began building props for events that he was working on as manager of the
MGM Grand Flower Shop in Reno. Jack and former business partner Jim Baker
decided to leave the MGM and open the doors at Giraffe Inc. to start
building a company that specializes in building props and decor for the
convention and entertainment industries. Today Giraffe is a family owned and
operated company that leads the industry in developing original products, and
designing and building props for every aspect of the industry. We have developed
sturdy yet lightweight building materials for ease of mobility. Most of our
props are easily moved and/or suspended.
If you have something in mind that you can't find anywhere, let us know we
can probably build it.
This
is a self-contained, working waterfall that has been used countless times for a
variety of purposes. It stands just over eight feet tall and seven feet wide. It
has flowing water, and underwater lights that shine upward to illuminate the front
of the waterfall.
This
tomato was built for a foods company in Los Angeles. It's hard to tell from the
picture, but it is three feet in diameter and lightweight enough to be suspended
overhead, as the stem doubles as a hanging point.
Giraffe
designed and built this Arabian castle as a trade show booth front for a
racing team at the American Endurance Riders show in Reno. The towers are just
over 13 feet tall, the arch opening is 12 feet wide, and across the front is
forty feet. The window openings are backlit photo transparencies. The castle is
completely finished, three dimensional, and free standing.
These
giant barbeque tools and meat are just another example of our capabilities. The
tools are eight feet long. The cheeseburger is four feet in diameter and four
inches thick, the hot dog is four feet long and ten inches in diameter. The
t-bone is about three by three feet and four inches thick, and the porterhouse
is about three by two and a half feet. Everything is completely finished and
light enough to be hung.
This
giant longhorn steer skull was originally built for a team roping invitational
dinner at the Silver Legacy Resort and Casino. It is about 18 feet wide
and 4 feet tall. It is light enough to be hung and is finished on all sides.
